Summary: Everyone likes a good-natured, even if slightly dim, fellow in their lives. It's a shame that there's always some hack who wants them dead. But just as the spiteful live long, so do the benevolent.

History: Charles Elliot "Bubba" Ritter may not have been the brightest thing on two legs, but he was unendingly kind, and had a special friendship with little Marylee Williams. But the neighbors didn't like Bubba, and when it seemed that he hurt her (he didn't), they took the opportunity to hunt him down and shoot him when he hid in a scarecrow. But now every night, a scarecrow appears at the killers' homes, and they die in gruesome ways. Could Bubba be back?

Notable Kills: Causes a guy to stumble into a woodchipper, and drowns another in a grain silo.

Final Fate: Bubba personally kills the main man responsible for his death, and reunites with Marylee, who’s more than happy to see him.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional, maybe.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Bubba may look like an intimidating scarecrow, and his methods are really nasty, but he's ultimately doing it against people who were looking for an excuse to shoot things. And aside from that, his heart's in the right place.

Trivia: -Scarecrows, as the name implies, were made to keep birds away from farmers' crops. They have become synonymous with the life agricultural.

-It's a bit of an overly narrow superlative, but this film is credited with starting the "killer scarecrow" trend.
